An outing with the sis: Kinton Ramen

Rating: 4.5/5

During one outing with my sister, I craved for Asian food and could not make up my mind. It was one of these cold Canadian days, where I just needed comfort food that could warm not only my spirit but also my entire body (feet, especially). My dear sister kindly narrowed our choices down to 2 restaurants. After entering and leaving almost immediately our first option, we tried Kinton Ramen. We left satisfied and happy.

Entrance

They deliver with uber eats and have several restaurants all around Quebec and Ontario, therefore if you would like to try it, you do not leave your house or commute far. As of June 9th, they are offering a 30% discount on their website, so go for it! The prices are quite reasonable with differently flavored and protein-based ramen noodles costing 13$ to 17$ (before taxes).

We picked the chicken Shoyu (13.45 $) and the Kaarage chicken Shoyu (16.95$). For dessert we chose the macha cheesecake which was also good. Was it the best ramen bowl we had ever tried? The worst? The answer to both questions is no. However, for the price, it was worth it. No regrets. The Kaarage option, consists of 4 pieces of fried chicken. I had never tried Kaarage before. Yes it was a bit fatty but very flavorful. The chicken or pork ramen is “healthier” and still flavorful.

What was great: price, set up, choices, set up, quick service once the order is done, plating, vegetarian option, sides are classic but varied.

What was not so great: waiting time to be approached by a waiter, more protein options would have been excellent.
